- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I was very disappointed with this doctor. I explained to the receptionist and the doctor that I only wanted him to briefly look at the lump on my foot and that I did not want to run tests, have surgery or receive a large bill; therefore I refused to sign a paper. I was assured I would only have a co-pay, and that it it was a state law to sign the paper. I can't even begin to explain how much I said over and over: "I'm not going to get a bill for this, right? Just a co-pay, right? I'm a teacher who recently moved to the area and I make little money." So they kept telling me not to worry. This doctor spent 5 minutes with me. All he did was look at my foot and confirm what I already knew. Well, you can imagine my surprise when I received a bill a few weeks later in the mail for $205.00 for a 5 minute consultation. The insurance company paid some of it and I was stuck with a $121.74 bill. In my world this is called "Non-Disclosure" and it is a very bad way of doing business. I was duped. They can't blame my insurance because they send in the medical codes for billing. Lousy practice and not a kind thing to do. I do not recommend going to this doctor.July 29, 2017by Denise McClellan
